Social media is like a cocktail party, they say. It’s a time to get to know people, not “seal the deal.”

Some observations:

Patel mentions some tools that can be used to zero in on folks in your area of interest. These are meant for power users (i.e. businesses with deep pockets). However, there are inexpensive or free (and therefore limited) versions that might be worth trying out for a month or two.
