Marketing Travel To Boomers Can Be Sexy

I’m a big believer in marketing travel to boomers. Maybe that’s because I’m a boomer myself. But it’s also because baby boomers are a big . . . no, make that a huge chunk of the traveling public.

There are many ways to appeal to this market segment when promoting the travel products that you represent, but leave it to the Scandinavians to come up with perhaps the most compelling reason to convince your baby boomer clients to get on a plane to somewhere wonderful.

Now the video I am showcasing here is a bit, shall we say, risque so discretion is advised. It comes from a Danish travel company and I’m not sure if it’s a TV commercial because a) it’s longer than the typical TV spot and b) it’s in Danish. Fortunately, subtitles are provided.

At any rate, it’s fun and it provides inspiration for all of us on how we might use this approach with our customers and prospects — subtly of course. I’m not going to presume to have any brilliant ideas on this matter; I’ll just leave it to your marketing imagination.
